Róisín McManus lives in New York City and has served as co-planner of the NSA 20-Somethings Program and co-leader of the Brooklyn NSA Chapter since 2011. In addition to her work on behalf of the NSA she has been involved in numerous stuttering advocacy organizations, serving as co-host of the StutterTalk “B-Team” Podcast, contributor to StutterTalk’s first published book of essays in 2012 and conference presenter for FRIENDS: The National Association for Young People Who Stutter. In her professional life, she is a healthcare provider. In January 2017, Roisin will complete her work as an ER nurse at NYU Medical Center and move on to work as a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
