Tools for Conference Contributing

There are many ways you can contribute to the conference. Check out the tools below to get you started.

Present a Workshop
	Adult Workshops! Do you have a workshop idea? Pick your topic and it can be a presentation, a group activity, informational, emotional/ personal, dealing with attitudes, therapy or any other idea you have that might enrich the lives of our members. Family Program Workshops! WE NEED YOU! Do you want to lead or assist workshops for the kids, teens or parents? This year's family program will have lots of new choices for our families to chose from. We will have a list of activities to chose from soon. OR if you have an original workshop idea- we would love to hear it! It could be a presentation, an art project, music activity, something informational, emotional/ personal, dealing with attitudes, therapy or any other fun idea. We are looking for the kids to have a good time with their new friends, for the teens to share and grow and the parents to find answers to their questions and gain support. Sell an Advertisement in the Conference Program and MAKE MONEY!
	Dear Chapter NSA members: I’ve been involved with the NSA for a really long time, and Cleveland will be my 14th consecutive conference. Having been to so many conferences, I know that Tammy and her team do everything possible to keep the costs as affordable as possible – and I applaud her for that. But like many people, I’ve always wished there was a way to have my trip cost less. That’s why I helped create the NSA Conference Sponsorship Program – a program that will not only raise money for the NSA, but help members attend the conference. It works very simply: for every ad you sell in the program, you’ll make a 20% commission. Sell a full-page ad to a corporation ($1000 each) and that’s $200 in your pocket. Sell five and the conference will literally pay for itself. There are smaller space ads as well. Please see the attached pdf for more information about the program itself and the ad sizes. Speaking of the pdf, you should use it to solicit as many companies/individuals as possible. It’s easily emailed and with a short note from you, the sky's the limit. You could also print it out and mail it to your prospects. Remember, you’re simply asking a corporation/company to become a sponsor. You could also remind them that their donation is tax-deductible. Not going to Cleveland this year? We’ll miss you, but you can still benefit from the program. Sell and ad and get an American Express Gift Card in return. Donate an Auction Item
Going Once... Going Twice... SOLD!	Consider some of the ideas listed below to stimulate possibilities that we can market and convert to help fuel the power of the NSA to continue to change lives. So, what can you think of to contribute? anything Rock n Roll themed- to go with our theme in conjunction with Cleveland’s Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. any gift certificates for national chains or Cleveland local businesses. Many of our participants are staying after the conference to enjoy this wonderful area….Dinner for two (or more), bus tour tickets, etc etc. travel and hospitality benefits eatery and entertainment passes (national chains)- Famous ribs, steaks, cheesecakes, etc professional services autographed memorabilia holiday arts and crafts family games and toys- Cameras, IPODs, Nintendo Wii, software, video games (FUN STUFF) free stay in your condo/ timeshare on that resort island or mountain ski town tickets and parking passes to a pro game by one of your colleagues whose cousin works for the owner's family flower of the month, wine of the month, meat of the month (delivered to their door once per month for an entire year) anything signature to your state that you can contribute to your chapter's basket! Recruit a Corporation to Donate
	Corporate/ business contacts: To whom it may concern:... The NSA, a not-for-profit organization, is excited to announce its 27th Annual Conference and Research Symposium July 7-10, 2010. For adults and children who stutter... Our annual conference will pave the way for the NSA to successfully maintain a high level of education and support for the stuttering community... Make a special Donation toward this 2010 conference
	Make a Special Donation to the NSA and earmark it to go toward something that is near and dear to your heart. Do you want to put money toward a scholarship that will help someone afford to make it to the conference. Do you want to provide money that will go toward supplies for a specific workshop?
