History of Teen Advisory Council MEMBERS

The Teen Advisory Council (TAC) is made of five to seven outstanding NSA teens.  The TAC members act as role models and mentors for all  children who stutter.  The TAC leader is elected by the TAC and the leader is a voting member of  the NSA Board of Directors.  The TAC is committed to the NSA and to helping people who stutter of all ages.

Below is a list of former members of the Teen Advisory Council (TAC) who fulfilled their full term on the council and have since "graduated" to the adult programs.  Many of them have taken leadership roles in new areas of the NSA.

Alex Rosenbaum  - Immediate Past Leader of the Teen Advisory Council.  He is currently a junior in college who will be 20 years old in December.  He has been a member of the NSA for 9 years.  He has attended nine  NSA Conferences.  He has been on the TAC for 5 years and enjoys this work very much.  Email is rosea1@mail.broward.edu

(Alex came off the TAC in 2009.  He is now an adult chpater leader in Florida.)

Sean Hare is 19 and lives in Coral Springs, Florida.  He's a sophmore at Stetson University majoring in Marine Biology, and is a Resident Assistant (RA).  He likes to go scuba diving, snorkeling, and just being under water.  He thinks this is his sixth year with the NSA, but he admits he's lost count.  He recently wrote an amazing article for Our Voices about being "The Stuttering RA."

(Sean came off the TAC in 2009)

Liben_Mike Michael Liben was the leader of the first Teen Advisory Council from 2004 to 2005. He is 24 years old and lives in New York City. Michael attends the Fordham University School of Law and will be graduating in May of 2010. He went to his first NSA conference in 1997 and continues to look forward to attending each year. (2009)
