NSA Family Fun Days are one-day events that brings together children and teens who stutter, their parents, and speech-language pathologists for a day of learning, support, and growth. SLPs can learn from the children, teens and parents, along with experts in the field of stuttering and the adults who stutter that volunteer their time at these events. Knowledge is enhanced, friendships are made and everyone goes home feeling more supported and less alone than when they came!
The Family Fun Day is like a "mini NSA conference" that allows children who stutter and their families to explore their experiences with stuttering in a supportive, helpful environment. For many families, Family Fun days are the ideal introduction to the NSA, for it allows them to experience the positive emotions associated with knowing that they are not alone in facing their stuttering - right in their own home town.
To find about a youth day near you -- or, to help us offer a youth day in your district -- please send us an email at SLPs@WeStutter.org or call us at (800) We Stutter. Together, speech-language pathologists and the NSA can brighten the world for children who stutter!
