About the event
Because of the stigma that surrounds stuttering, we feel shame and we hide ourselves. Recognizing that the problem is stigma, not stuttering, we begin a journey of self-discovery, during which we become mindful of our self-limiting thoughts and beliefs, and we learn unconditional self-acceptance.
Taking control of our own minds and setting our own path enables us to move away from suffering and towards the life that we want for ourselves. We learn that stuttering is simply the way we talk. We discover pride in who we are and the peace of mind that comes with being our authentic selves.
Join us for an exploration and discussion of these topics and more, as Hanan Hurwitz, author of the book, STUTTERING, from Shame and Anxiety to Confident Authenticity, shares his journey with us during National Stuttering Awareness Week.
