About the event
Are you an SLP carrying grief or guilt about past practices that prioritized fluency over the whole person? You are not alone.
Good clinical practice is not only about technique. It is also about the beliefs, assumptions, and values we bring into the room.
This facilitated NSA Connects session offers a safe, compassionate space for speech-language pathologists to reflect, process difficult feelings, and explore how internalized ableism can shape our clinical lens.
Together, we will practice being present with stuttered speech, not as something to fix, but as part of the full spectrum of human communication.
This is not about shame. It is about accountability, growth, humility, and recommitting to the people we serve.
Join hosts Mandy Rodstrom and Nicole Terhune for a non-recorded session designed to support honest reflection and meaningful conversation.
