Now, more than ever, it is important for people who stutter to have places to connect, talk, and share. Work, school, and life can be stressful enough on their own—stuttering should not mean facing those moments alone.

Our virtual and hybrid NSA Chapter meetings make it possible to join a supportive community from wherever you are. Whether you attend in person, online, or a mix of both, you will find people who understand stuttering, share similar experiences, and are ready to listen.

How Virtual Chapter Meetings Work

Every chapter is a little different, but most virtual or hybrid meetings include:

Introductions and check-ins – Time to share how things have been going in life, school, or work.
Topic-based discussions – Conversation about everyday speaking situations, self-advocacy, confidence, or the emotional side of stuttering.
Activities or breakout rooms – Opportunities to practice speaking, try new strategies, or just talk in smaller groups.
Time for questions – Space to ask about therapy, school or workplace issues, or ways to support a loved one who stutters.

You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable. Listening quietly is OK. Turning your camera off is OK. You are always in control of how you show up.

Getting Started

Choose a chapter from the list above. You can select based on location, age group (kids, teens, adults, family), or meeting format.
Visit the chapter page using the link provided.
Check the meeting schedule and any RSVP details. Some chapters ask you to email the Chapter Leader before your first meeting.
Join your first meeting using the video link the chapter provides (usually Zoom, Google Meet, or another common platform).

Many chapters meet only in person, and several of the chapters listed above also host regular in-person meetings.
