DaVon Camp
Speaker
DaVon B. Camp was born and raised in Washington, DC, and currently serves in a senior-level director role in his profession. In addition to being a mentor and stuttering advocate, he’s a husband and father of four children. DaVon was diagnosed as a person who stutters at the age of seven and spent much of his life feeling alone and ashamed of his stuttering. It wasn’t until DaVon found the National Stuttering Association at age thirty-five, that he finally accepted his stuttering, turned it into his biggest strength, and no longer considered his stuttering a weakness. DaVon’s purpose in life is to show his son, who also stutters - and all people who stutter - that confidence and stuttering, two words that are never mentioned together, can co-exist.
