Jennifer Downs

Jennifer Downs is a mother to a person who stutters (PWS) and understands firsthand the importance of support and encouragement through the NSA. With Nashville, Tennessee, being her family's hometown, her son attended college out of state and faced his own specific challenges along the way. Family and friends can play a special role in a PWS’s support system during the college years. Over the past 6 years of her son’s college journey, Jennifer has learned helpful (and not so helpful) ways to lend support when needed.
