Hiding your stutter can feel like a survival tactic—dodging words, swapping sentences, and blending in. But over time, the weight of secrecy grows heavier. Have you truly "overcome" stuttering if you're still running from it?
Join us as we explore the path from covert stuttering to freedom and self-acceptance. The hosts will shed light on the journey of letting go of the fear of stuttering and learning how to embrace your authentic voice.
Meet our speakers:
Dr. Rachel McCullough was a covert stutterer for many years until learning and accepting it at a NSA Conference. Rachel holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Rider University, and a Master's and Ph.D. in criminal justice from the State University of New York at Albany. Dr. McCullough works as a grants manager by day and rocks out as singer-songwriter for the indie-rock band, Black Cat Habitat by night.
