About the event
Have you struggled to reconcile who you really are with the complex nature of being a person who stutters? Do you wonder if stuttering has altered your personality and desire to be a more authentic version of yourself but are not sure who that is? Stuttering, as we know, is highly complex because it is still so misunderstood by the general public. As a result, PWS are exposed to thoughts, feelings and beliefs about stuttering from a young age that inform our own belief system about ourselves and about stuttering (despite positive feedback later in life).
This talk will be an informative look at the impact of stuttering on the psyche, how stuttering affects the nervous system, and how we can embrace authenticity to truly thrive as PWS. You will come away from this talk with a deeper understanding of what authenticity means and new ways of thinking about self-care…
