Discuss the trauma of stuttering with two psychotherapists

Time & Location
Jun 12, 2025, 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM EDT
Virtual Event
About the event
The narrative has changed; we now know stuttering is okay to do. But for people who stutter, the fear of stuttering can keep us emotionally trapped. Speaking impacts how we see ourselves and the world. The experience of stuttering and even speech therapy can be traumatic.
While we can’t change the past, we can expand our capacity and ability to manage and regulate our nervous systems, have more space and breathing room, and find community with others who understand the stuttering experience.
Join Samantha Gennuso and Heather Najman, both licensed psychotherapists, in a discussion about the trauma of stuttering, how we have survived, and tools we can use to feel more comfortable while navigating the world as people who stutter.
