About the event

If you stutter and work in healthcare, or you’re thinking about entering the field, this session is for you.

Healthcare can be deeply rewarding and deeply demanding. Whether you work in a hospital, nursing home, urgent care, clinic, or home health setting, every role carries real responsibility, and every voice matters.

For people who stutter, communicating with patients, families, and colleagues can sometimes feel especially challenging, particularly in fast-paced or high-stakes environments. If that sounds familiar, you are not alone.

Join host Pamela Mertz and guests Brittany Dahl and Lindsey Parker for an honest, practical conversation about navigating healthcare as a person who stutters and doing so with confidence, care, and grace.

We’ll explore communication, self-advocacy, professional growth, confidence, and the value people who stutter bring to healthcare spaces every day.

Whether you are a student, new professional, experienced clinician, or simply exploring the path, you are welcome.
