About the event

When you stutter, you don’t walk the journey alone—your spouse walks it with you. This session explores the importance of spouses as partners in the stuttering journey. We’ll discuss relationships and how stuttering can shape communication, emotions, social experiences, and daily interactions in a marriage. We will discuss empowerment and affirm that stuttering is not, and never will be, a flaw in any relationship.

Understanding and sharing the stuttering experience can become a deeper opportunity for empathy, patience, and strength as a couple. We’ll learn from spouses what they knew about stuttering when they first met “their person," and what they've learned since.

This session is open to anyone who wants to learn more about stuttering. Friends, family, and SLPs are invited to learn more about the journey and walk with us!
