< Back Previous Linda Gioscia Presenter “Miss Linda” Twiss Gioscia is the mother of National Stuttering Association (NSA) member Ethan. Her family has been attending both the 1-Day and Annual Conferences for 7 years! She owns the Performance Dance Center in Weymouth, Massachusetts, which has been teaching children ages 3 and up dance for 28 years. She is a member of the Dance Teachers’ Club of Boston and past membership examiner. She is also a member, past president, and secretary of the Greater Brockton Dance Teachers’ Association. Miss Linda takes classes to stay current in the dance profession and keeps up with all the dance journals, books, and periodicals. Next

Her family discovered the NSA in 2016 and the connection and support have been life changing for her whole family. Denise was born in Huntington, NY and moved to the Atlanta area with her husband in 2005. Denise has worked in the Non-profit sector for the last twenty years. < Back Previous Jolie Deitchman Presenter Jolie Deitchman is an 18-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, who has stuttered since age 3. This fall, she will be a freshman majoring in psychology at Georgia College & State University. She is a former member of the National Stuttering Association’s (NSA) Teen Advisory Council and a current member of Sisters Who Stutter. Jolie attended her first Annual Conference at the age of 8. That was the first time she met another person who stuttered. She continues to come to terms with her stutter and how it has shaped who she is, as well as appreciate the opportunities to share her experiences. Next

< Back Previous Alyssa Kalwasinski Presenter Alyssa Kalwasinski is a 17-year-old teen who stutters and is from Columbus, OH, going into her senior year of high school. She loves learning American Sign Language, volunteering with kids at her local recreation center, riding dirt bikes with her dad, and most of all, spending time with her friends. She is a Public Outreach Coordinator for Sisters Who Stutter and a Leader-in-Training at Camp Shout Out, a summer camp for youth who stutter. Alyssa has big dreams of becoming a speech-language pathologist, a field that has greatly impacted her life. Her favorite part of the NSA is connecting with others who stutter in an uplifting environment and expanding her advocacy efforts. Next

He studied economics and computer science at Wofford College and is pursuing a graduate degree in AI at UT Austin. He’s served on the National Stuttering Association’s (NSA) Young Adult Committee since 2022, leads the NSA Charlotte Chapter, and enjoys mentoring people who stutter, as well as mountain biking, beekeeping, and Formula 1. < Back Previous DM Forker Presenter DM Forker is a person who stutters and has stuttered for more than 50 years—he doesn’t remember a time in his life when he spoke fluently. He has an identical twin brother who does not stutter. DM has been married to his high school sweetheart for over 30 years, and together they have two daughters, one of whom also stutters. He lives in Nebraska and works as a criminal investigator for a local Sheriff’s Office. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his family, hiking, fishing, camping, and training for 100‑mile ultramarathon races. Next
