< Back Previous Tracey Wallace Presenter Dr. Tracey Wallace is a long-time member of the NSA and past Adult Programs Chair. She was a covert stutterer until age 27 when she learned about Avoidance Reduction Therapy for Stuttering (ARTS) which changed her life. Her journey since then has been one of self-discovery and challenging fears. Dr. Wallace is an Educational Audiologist in DC, and Co-Owner of Hennessy Creek Brewery in MD. Elizabeth Minton Young Adults Committee Elizabeth is a passionate advocate for the stuttering community and an active member of the National Stuttering Association's Young Adults Committee. A rising senior at Western Carolina University, she is pursuing a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, building on her foundation with an earlier degree in Communication Studies. Her academic journey reflects her deep interest in understanding the complexities of stuttering and her dedication to making a difference. Elizabeth’s ultimate goal is twofold: to educate others about stuttering, breaking down misconceptions and fostering understanding, and to contribute to research efforts aimed at uncovering the causes of stuttering. Her commitment to these objectives showcases her drive to not only support the current community but also pave the way for advancements that could benefit future generations. As part of the Young Adults Committee, Elizabeth brings her passion, insight, and determination to advocate for awareness and inclusion. Her enthusiasm for learning and her dedication to the stuttering community make her a vital part of the NSA’s mission. Meet Dominique Kennedy, a valued member of the National Stuttering Association team. Learn more about their role and contributions. Dominique Kennedy Research Committee Associate Member Dominique Kennedy is a licensed and credentialed speech-language pathologist, speaker, author, and trainer. She is a wife, mother, and ally of the stuttering community. Dominique serves as Director of Accessible Education at Agnes Scott College. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a concentration in Speech-Language Pathology from Florida State University. She has served as the NSA Atlanta Family Chapter Leader since June 2022. Dominique has presented on cultural considerations in speech pathology, and advising and advocacy for socially, culturally, and economically diverse communities to domestic and international audiences. Her special interests include education, health, and culture. She plans her travel around conversation, connection, and cuisine.

Meet Samaya Fonseca, a valued member of the National Stuttering Association team. Learn more about their role and contributions. Samaya Fonseca Teen Advisory Council (TAC) Samaya is a passionate and accomplished sophomore at Timber Creek High School in Orlando, FL. She enjoys playing sports, reading, and expressing her musical talents as part of her school’s band program, where she plays both the trumpet and euphonium. Her dedication to the arts and athletics reflects her drive to excel and her appreciation for teamwork. Samaya attended her first National Stuttering Association (NSA) conference in Austin, Texas, in 2021, and this past conference marked her fourth. Over the years, the NSA has become an integral part of her journey, offering her a welcoming community and opportunities for growth. Samaya is proud to have completed her first year on the Teen Advisory Council (TAC), where she has worked to support and inspire other teens who stutter. As an active and enthusiastic member of the NSA, Samaya is committed to fostering connection and empowerment among her peers. With her dynamic personality, creative spirit, and dedication, she looks forward to continuing her contributions to the NSA community and making a lasting impact on others’ stuttering journeys.

< Back Previous Courtney Luckman Presenter Courtney Luckman is a person who stutters, speech-language pathologist, and doctoral student at New York University studying social cognitive influences on stuttering. Active in the National Stuttering Association since 2011, she previously served as Chair of the Young Adults Committee, founded the Charlottesville Chapter, and helped lead the City of Chicago Chapter for several years. She is co-author of the 3Es model for stuttering therapy, and her research has been published in ASHA Perspectives and the Journal of Fluency Disorders. In 2020, she received the Distinguished Early Career Professional Certificate from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Courtney is passionate about educating speech-language pathologists about the lived experience of stuttering. She writes for Medbridge Education, has appeared on several stuttering-focused podcasts, and has presented nationally and internationally. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys travel, spending time outdoors with her dog, writing, reading nonfiction, and baking. Next
